This is not for free as well, but they will most probably find it.
References :
http://www.manualfox.com

Nobody churns out free marine engine repair manuals, you need expert steps and accurate information which costs money. Which brings me to the wise phrase: "There is no free lunch, someone has to pay."

You can either go with a Clymer's outboard repair book for your Johnson model and year, or you can get a Seloc one.

Expect to pay $40 to $60 dollars plus tax, and don't forget about the shipping cost if you buy it online or by phone.

unless you have a relative with one, you'll have to pay for it. http://www.kencook.com probably has.

the factory shop manual would be more helpful, kencook carries it, http://www.marineengine.com has it, http://www.iboats.com has it.

Might be able to find it on ebay.

what do you need to know? 2-stroke crossflow v-4, 2 fixed-jet carbs, magneto-driven capacitor discharge ignition, surface gap plugs champion UL77V, 87 octane unleaded gasoline premixed 50:1 with TCW-3 certified oil.
