On a perfect day they would be. But a perfect day is hard to come by. I used to be stationed at Eatons Neck CG Station and have to say the Sound is no place to take for granted. My advice is to stay with a traditional boat or a Cat.

The Sound can get really choppy quickly. A 25' pontoon might be able to handle the chop.
