i’ve removed both screw top and bottom,drained just about everything,the drain oil looked very dark and thick. is there another refill area besides the two screw i’ve removed? the oil i filled it with comes back out. any hint how to?

remove both screws, top and bottom, get a cheap squeezie sauce bottle for a dollar from cheap shop, fill with oil and squeeze into bottom hole, fill bottle and do again place finger over bottom hole to prevent oil draining out bottom hole whilst refilling bottle, when oil comes out of top hole, quickly replace bottom screw, then top up oil level from top hole, replace top screw tighten both screws and check for leaks, any good quality outboard gear box oil will do, just ask at your boat shop for best recommendation. just check old oil for metal shavings or water as this would indicate possible problems later on. it would not hurt to purchase extra oil and flush out old oil from top to bottom first. i always do this when i replace and it is surprising how much of the old oil stays in there even after it has been allowed to drain for two hours.

32ft all aluminum construction pontoon boat. boat the pontoons and the trailer last year.  Started with bare frame and worked my way up has oro deck composite decking with all stainless hardwear.

The railings all all aluminum with aluminum sheeting welded into place. the top deck is supported with six 1/4″x2″ aluminum post, very sturdy, had 12 people on the top deck last summer not a problem. the wiring is all new, started with one deep cycle batterie, then bought two good sized solar batteries $400 each.

One phillips 150watt solar panel included. makes 10amps in good sun basically a perfect batterie charger. has a 70 horse evinrude two stroke. runs good cylinders tested over 150 psi last summer, and i used it twice. top deck has high grade astro turf, my buddy lays the fields for football fields, so good stuff.

Has two kc daylighters that let you see about half a mile in front of you at night and the wiring is ran for two more up front and one in the rear. boat is also wired for overhead sterio, two amps, and one sub. system is now in my truck so not included. boat is put together right. just needs to be completed and by completed i mean seats. have pink slip in hand. $7000 or trade what do you got???? 530 263 0364

What is the gas to oil ratio for a 28hp Johnson Outboard motor

50:1 ratio on that one,i run mine at 40:1 sometimes,it gives it more power,but the factory recommendation is 50:1 on it and i don’t recommend running a stock engine at any less,mine is built a little,good luck.

Discover Boating released four videos from the winners of its 2009 video contest, I Discovered Boating, which showcases Americans’ love of the boating lifestyle.

The videos address four industry segments — fishing, powerboating/cruising, sailing and water sports — with each telling a unique story about the love of boating.

“Through this campaign, we will leverage Discover Boating’s extensive social media program to reach a broad base of consumers,” said Carl Blackwell, chief marketing officer for Discover Boating, in a statement. “Each video is seen through the eyes of an actual boater and illustrates their emotional connection to the boating lifestyle, and these videos help us share that message with millions of potential boaters.”

The videos are scheduled to run on the Outdoor Channel and on national Web sites, including AccuWeather.com, Marinas.com, OutdoorChannel.com and TakeMeFishing.org.

All of the videos are available for download at GrowBoating.org.

Thom Dammrich, president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association and Grow Boating Inc., will share the videos Thursday as part of his state of the industry presentation at the Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail Miami.
