How do I get a replacement key for my Yamaha outboard engine?
40 HP- YYMXM-7031CA
Pull the switch and get the number, then call a Yamaha dealer. But, don’t forget, we (I’m a Yamaha Dealer) would like to have the serial number so that we know you don’t want to steal the boat the key is needed for. I don’t know particularly why they want us to do that, doesn’t make much sense, but they like it sometimes. Good Luck with the key!
Can anyone tell me how to wire the starter on a 1973,25HP,Evinrude outboard motor?
It was my dads and I want to put on a starter but I need to know how to make it recharge the battery.I can hook up the starter with no problem.I just need to find the wires that charges the battery.
man, that guy snag is not only long winded but he no speakie english too good neither, huh?! you can put a starter on it, but a ‘73 manual start is not going to have the AC coil to charge. you can find the parts used easy enough. a decent battery will start that engine so many times you will lose count without recharging.
where can I get a pattern for pontoon boat canvas?
We bought a 1990 28′ Sun Tracker party hut. I need to find out what the canvas looked like originally. I want to make the canvas covers myself but the canvas on the boat is so shabby it cannot be used as a pattern.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
It is far cheaper to just order one from a source that makes replacements. You will get a quality canvas that most home sewing machines cannot handle. Trying to do things yourself is a great way to save money but sometimes projects need to be thought out.
