we would like to share and got information about cross reference with Yamaha bearings /and koyo for outboards 40G/X, 75, 140, 200 and 250 Hp carburated.

any decent bearing supply house can easily cross your bearings. there's no secret or anything. there are a few you can't get anywhere BUT Yamaha.

I have a 1989 Mariner 25hp and a 1973 Evinrude 6hp outboard motors. Both have not been used in years but are in excellent running and physical condition. I'm wondering what a reasonable price would be to sell both of them for.

$600 to $900 for the 25hp and $200 to $400 for the 6hp depending on condition and compression test results.

I have a 1979 Johnson outboard 9.9 motor and would like to put an Electric starter on it, can you do such a thing and if where to I purchase the starter and how do I put it on.

Perhaps the better question would be, can I get an electric start kit, for a 9.9 motor……. I haven't seen one in years….. this is something that would be very rare, in that only a small percentage of these motors were equipped with these kits. If, a motor has a bad powerhead, you might be able to get it, and swap out the electrical parts and brackets…but there won't be any kits. There is a coil/rectifier under the flywheel…..that acts as an alternator, on the electric start models, that was part of the kit. i'm not sure if the flywheel was different, but I think it was. All the 9.9 and 15 HP were the same and use the same starter. You need the bracket and the starter motor, which I think will be hard to find. Good luck.

It wouldn't have to be anything fancy just something to putt around the lake with. The hulls are fiberglass and they are in very good shape. I think that this would be possible so if anyone knows how to do this or where I could look for plans, I would like to hear from you. Thanks!
